Since July 1998, lawyers have been able to take on cases on a conditional fee basis, more commonly known as "no-win, no-fee". This means that you only have to pay our fees if you win, in which case we are generally able to recover them from your opponent. If you lose, you do not have to pay our fees. You will be liable to pay your opponents' costs. However, insurance can be obtained to cover this liability and the cost of the premium can be recovered from your opponent if you win. Conditional fee arrangements backed by an insurance policy can therefore eliminate most of the financial risks involved in litigation.
We are at the forefront of conditional fee litigation and have conducted numerous successful conditional fee cases since 1998. We have an exclusive arrangement with Litigation Protection Ltd, one of the most experienced providers of legal expenses insurance in the UK, that allows us to obtain insurance promptly and at a reasonable cost. Unlike other firms, we also offer conditional fee representation to defendants, allowing them to fight on a level playing field.
Before we can represent you on a conditional fee basis we need to be satisfied that your case is sufficiently strong. We therefore have a free confidential assessment procedure to evaluate the merits of your claim.
